A tribute to Yvonne Pedretti
who sadly died on 8th February 2010
Yvonne had been an exhibiting member of the Leigh Art Trail for over 12 years.
Throughout her career Yvonne was fasinated by notions of transparency and translucency, and how materials, even those seemingly opaque, can be used to transmit and reflect light. Her wall and sculptural pieces are formed through machine stitch, knit, crochet and weave.
